Wow! That sounds like quite a challenge- and so inspiring. Letting go, trusting your partner, and being OK with the outcome sounds like a lesson we could all transfer to differnet aspects of our lives.

Thanks for the read. Looking forward to what your next collaboration brings:)

@Dyana - you are much more than a stop, honey. You've been a traveling companion since you issued the first 40 day challenge. Talk about walking the talk!

@Greg - takes a special kind of man to stand by, witness and applaud such shenanigans (not to mention cleaning up the literal and metaphorical mess!)

@Sharon - a) yes, yes it does. b) you may want to ramp it up and do it with a lower budget...and a time limit on shopping tends to get the juices flowing too c) maybe banana pizza is the power pellet mathemagicians need to do their, well, mathemagics!

@Cathy - thank you so much for your enthusiasm...and I just went to your site...your work is STUNNING.

@Julianne - thank you for your comment and the EXCELLENT tip. What a great metaphor for life...what if we could wash over a situation with a new colour? It also makes me think of the idea that there is 2% truth in every lie and 2% of a lie in every truth. Finding that 2% in a perspective can be very rewarding...including learning to love a colour heretofore unappreciated (BTW - you may want to check out @Cathy's work...she loves seems to love orange too!

I loved this. I do have to admit that chili in the eye--Tabasco hurts almost as much--brings that concept of "non-attachment to the outcome" into reality. This reminds me of an instruction I once received in a painting class. "If you are truly stuck--paint over what you've done with a wash of a color you don't like."
Who knew I'd love orange!!

Tanya! This is so awesome - what a fantastic collaboration, learning experience, way to play and get unstuck. I am so inspired! And hungry. :)
(And yes, Dyana is incredibly gifted.)

d. the secret to non-attachment/ opening your mind in the kitchen is more wine! or just call tom. he's been known to put banana on pizza (just for example).

Chocolate sausage will likely never be found on the menu at Nota Bene or Canoe (well, maybe Canoe if it's a maple-smoked sausage from a little pig farm in northern Ontario and a specialty chocolate from a dairy farm in Quebec).

But, those restos will never see the kind of unique inspiration found in our kitchen last weekend. That was a special kinda fun (chili eyes aside, of course).

You two are truly WALKING your talk by taking the chocolate sausage road--there's sweet and savory, tough and true love and I'm honored to be a stop on your traipse. My favorite part of this post is: Playing In The Middle Range is Weak--I'd go one further and say that the middle range truly weakens you and those around you. Go BIG, folks.
